Ged Finch

Ged is an advocate for a building industry without waste. As a current doctoral student at Victoria University of Wellingtons School of Architecture Ged is exploring though prototype building projects how a Circular Economy model might fundamentally disrupt the way we build in New Zealand.

Sarb Johal is a psychologist with over 30 years experience and remains as curious about the human experience as he ever was. As an experienced MC, he provides a platform for speakers and audiences to connect through emotion, intellect, and wise insights.

Funded by Building Research New Zealand this research has received international recognition by Fast Company, the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).

As part of advocating for urgent change towards circularity in the built environment Ged has also presented at PrefabNZ, New Zealand Green Building Council, TEDxWellington, and Advanced Building Skins (ABS) events.

In June 2019, in recognition of the potential of his work, Ged was named a KiwiNet Emerging Innovator and is now undertaking market research and market validation studies to determine how a circular building platform can be brought to market in New Zealand.
